Families will create their own DIY mini-signs with paint and wood stain, while sipping hot cocoa and enjoying cookies together. A cozy, creative outing for parent + child. On Saturday, Nov 15 (3:00-7:00 PM) , the “Light the Night Market: Holiday Edition” will light up Downtown Appleton (333 W. College Ave). The open-air event features live music, a treat walk, a window scavenger hunt, arts & crafts vendors, and interactive family-friendly activities — all free! A perfect way to kick off the holiday vibe with kids under streetlights and seasonal fun.

On Saturday, Nov 8 (and ongoing during November) the Building for Kids Children's Museum (100 W. College Ave, Appleton) presents weekly thematic programs: “Ask. Think. Learn.” in The Lab; “Food to Grow” morning activities (9:00-4:00); and “Early Explorers” for ages 18-36 months on Tuesdays and Saturdays at 10:00 AM. A great indoor learning + play experience for younger kids. Admission applies.

On Saturday, Nov 29 (Small Business Saturday) in Downtown Appleton, you’ll find the “Small Business Saturday” event (8:00 AM onward) — families can stroll, shop local (60+ shops participating), collect passport stamps for prizes, and make a fun morning of supporting local businesses. A relaxed and rewarding outing for kids and grown-ups alike.
