About the Event
Join us on a “road trip” across Wisconsin to discover the entwined stories of Native treaties and the “lead rush” era of Wisconsin history. Through careful exploration of the narratives of Black lead miners and indigenous land rights, students come to understand and identify the evidence of history in their own lives.
This presentation is geared for a younger group. Later in the schoolyear, we will have a similar presentation geared for older children. That doesn't mean that older children can't attend this presentation. It means that the words used and concepts conveyed will be presented in a simpler way and may not be of interest to an older crowd.
This presentation is a live online class given by a docent from the Wisconsin Historical Society.
There is a hard cap of 30 screens. When you register, please indicate how many screens you will be using, not how many children will be attending.
