1. Rekindle the Spirit – Wisconsin Rapids
On Wednesday, Nov 26 , starting at 5:30 PM, downtown Wisconsin Rapids will sparkle as the annual holiday lights switch-on leads into a festive parade! Picture the riverbank lit in red & green, fire-truck lights, floats full of cheerful characters, music in the air, and children buzzing as Santa and Mrs. Claus gather for photos after the parade. Families can stroll along West Grand Avenue, take in the bridge lighting, and wrap up with hot cocoa or a treat together. Free to attend -  this event makes for a magical early-holiday outing.

2. Jingle & Mingle Holiday Kick-Off – Friendship / Adams County
On Saturday, Nov 29, from 10:00 AM to about 7:00 PM in Adams County, Main Street comes alive with cookie-walks, a “Lost Reindeer” game kids will love, a tree-lighting ceremony, and even tours of the local heritage center! Imagine young detectives hunting for hidden reindeer clues across town, families sipping hot chocolate by a glowing fire pit, and the whole scene ending in a parade of lights. It’s a perfect way to launch the holiday season — fun, relaxed, and full of moments just right for kids. Many activities are free or low cost.

3. Widow’s Weekend Vendor Event – Best Christmas Ever – Wisconsin Rapids Area
Saturday, Nov 22 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM (9031 County Road WW, Wisconsin Rapids) — This isn’t just for adults! With over 20 local vendors, a kids’ activity zone, Christmas music, and festive energy, it becomes a shopping‐meets-family-play day. HappeningNext Bring the kids to craft or play while you browse for early holiday gifts — and swap a few laughs together over seasonal sweets or a treat. 4. Holiday Kids Camp: Beads, Buttons & Whimsical Jewelry with Jeanne Weymouth – Wisconsin Rapids
On Saturday, Nov 8 (1:30-3:30 PM) at the Central Wisconsin Cultural Center (2811 8th St S, Wisconsin Rapids), kids will dive into a world of sparkle and imagination: mixing colorful beads and playful buttons to craft their very own whimsical necklaces and bracelets. Guided by artist Jeanne Weymouth, even younger creators get to explore design and craft while parents relax nearby. A perfect crafty afternoon for adventurous young makers.
