Captain David Engel leads an interactive STEAM program that combines science, hands-on experiments, and theatrical pirate play. Students will learn key science concepts while participating in activities that include:
Demonstrations of atmospheric pressure and how it affects objects
Experiments with simple machines and mechanical principles
Hands-on exploration of the physics of sailing
Arrival and Departure Information: The performance will take place at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center, 400 W. College Avenue, Appleton, WI 54911. Families may park in the Green Ramp for a small fee or use metered street parking nearby.
Doors open 30 minutes before the show begins. Please plan to arrive at least 20 minutes early to allow time for parking and seating. Enter through either the valet doors on Division Street or the ticket office entrance at the corner of College Avenue and Division Street.
