About the Event
This is a boat tour like none other. It's a real postal delivery service...and the boat never stops. The narrated cruise will give a historical account of the first families that lived on Lake Geneva, discuss what it takes to be a "jumper," and we'll hear first-hand from the jumpers about their experiences on the job.Â
Unfortunately, because this is a working vessel, all passengers need to stay seated and relatively quiet for the duration of the 2.5-hour cruise. That's why they recommend passengers be 12-years-old and up. That said, if you think your younger child is capable of that requirement, by all means, sign them up!Â
Registration Deadline
September 1st at noon
Itinerary
8:30 - Gather in front of Cruise Line.
9:00 - Get in line. Seating is first come, first serve. We want to get good seats.
9:30 - Board boat.
10:00 to 12:30 - Cruise tour.
12:30 - Kari, the Activities Coordinator, will be having lunch at Joanie's Diner. Supposedly, it's within walking distance from the boat landing. You are more than welcome to join her for lunch. WISE will not be covering the cost of lunch.
Parking
Apparently, parking is a bit difficult. It's street parking and costs $2/hour. Once you find a spot, there are group meters that collect your car's information and the fee.
Food
Food is allowed, but coolers are not. Seating is limited and cozy, so food bags need to be small. They do have a full snack bar on board.
Cost
WISE students and one parent/guardian per family are covered by WISE Academy.Â
Metered street parking available. Parking is not covered by WISE.Â
If you would like to bring additional guests, you can do so by contacting the cruise line. Group pricing does not apply.
