Holidays on the Rails is the National Railroad Museum's holiday event for families! 🎅

The festive events part of this day are geared toward children, primarily in preschool through Grade 2, but children and adults of all ages are welcome to join in the holiday fun (and explore the museum in its entirety). Students of all ages will have fun at this event.

The event includes a train ride around the snow-covered grounds (Mother Nature permitting), as well as an array of crafts, cookie decorating, games, exploration of trains and exhibits, and, of course, a chance to meet Santa Claus. 🚂 ❄️🎄

This event is a "free for all" for all attendees, but we will enter as a group and have a reserved train ride time shortly after arrival.

Arrival: 8:55 AM

Enter Event: 9:00 AM

(Tenitive) Train ride: 10:15 ish

End Time: 11:30 AM

(Event runs until 2:00 PM and families are welcome to stay and play all day!)

Families are free to pack a lunch, as there is no food for purchase at this event. However, this is a very busy event with many groups, so space may be limited!
