About the Event
Your grades 6–12 students will connect directly with researchers aboard the RV Araon returning from Thwaites Glacier, learning how their discoveries help communities adapt to a changing climate - Live from Zoom!
(Registered guests will receive the Zoom link the day before the event).
Students will:
See how scientists study glaciers using ships, sensors, and cutting-edge technology
Explore innovative solutions like undersea "sea curtains" to slow ice loss and protect coastlines
Hear glaciologists, oceanographers, and engineers explain the questions driving their research
Learn how science and collaboration lead to real-world solutions to some of our biggest challenges.
