Kids will experience both the Confederate and Union sides of the Civil War by listening to an expert in the field, Ward Zischke. They'll tour the Milton House Museum with a live guide and walk through an actual underground tunnel that was used for the Underground Railroad. **Bring a lunch.**

About the Event
The Milton House is the last certified underground railroad in the state of Wisconsin.
You don’t want to miss this! Geared toward middle and high school students, this 4 hour day will be unforgettable.
The day will begin with a military historian, dressed in Confederate regalia. He will explain the Civil War from the South’s perspective. The middle of the day will include a tour of the Milton House and lunch. The last portion of the day will include the historian donning Union garb and presenting the Civil War from the North’s viewpoint.
10:00 to 11:00: Confederate Presentation
11:00 to 1:00: Tours and Lunch
1:00 to 2:00: Union Presentation

There is a full kitchen available for any refrigeration or heating needs.
Tickets are free for WISE students and one adult chaperone per family. This activity is geared for Middle and High School students. We kindly request that children under 3rd grade remain home.Â
Guests are welcome to attend. Please pay with cash or check to Teacher Kari upon arrival.
Adults: $10
Youth, 4th grader and up: $6

Unfortuanately, this activity has a hard cap due to room capacity. If you are unable to secure enough tickets for your party, register by securing as many tickets available and contact Kari. Â If you are not able to get any tickets, then the activity is full.Â

Mask Policy:
Masks are optional during the presentations and lunch. During the tour, it is dependent on the tour guide. Please be prepared to wear a mask during the tour until we know if the guide is comfortable with optional choices.Â
